Your Child’s Table Manners are Sure to Be Holiday Ready with this unique Thanksgiving Kid’s Craft

When it comes to table manners there are some basic rules that one should always follow like, washing your hands before and after a meal, chewing with your mouth closed, and remembering to place the napkin on your lap. Ensure that your child’s table manners are holiday ready with this unique Thanksgiving kid’s craft.

Materials:

  • Cotton Napkins (Preferably 12x12)
  • Large pieces of paper
  • Pencils
  • Fabric markers
  • Scissors

Instructions:

1. Decide which rule(s) of etiquette you and your child would like to write on your napkin. Since children can be a bit forgetful when it comes to their table manners, we’ve listed a few basic rules below.

    Table Manners 101
    1) Wash Your Hands
    2) Wait For Everyone To Be Seated
    3) Chew With Your Mouth Closed
    4) Say Excuse Me, Please, and Thank You
    5) Napkin On Lap
    6) Chew Then Chat
    7) Ask To Be Excused

2. Cut a strip of paper 12 inches long (equal to the length of the edge of the cotton napkin). Use a pencil to write your desired rule(s) on the paper. Use the paper strip as a guide to write the phrase on each edge of the cotton napkin.

3. Using the fabric markers, have your child print their favorite table manner(s) on the edge of their cotton napkin.
