Entry: To enter, visit the promotional area of a participating mall during one of the events (each, an “Event”), allow Sponsor’s ambassador to videotape and record you singing your version of The Fabric Of My Life™ Jingle, and complete and submit an official entry form. Events will be held at one or more participating malls (the “Participating Malls”) during the designated times (the “Times”) on the malls designated promotion dates (the “Promotion Period”). Sponsor is not responsible for technical difficulties, errors or malfunctions, or for cancellation or rescheduling of Events in the discretion of mall management at participating malls whether due to inclement weather or other unanticipated occurrence.

Sponsor’s ambassadors will videotape and record your entry. Your video may not be offensive, lewd or defamatory of any person or group, as determined by the judges in their sole discretion. Your video may not mention famous brands or trademarks. As a condition of entry, you (or, if you are a minor, your parent or guardian on your behalf) must consent that, if your video is chosen by the judges as one of the top five videos, Sponsor may post your video on its Web sites for public voting. Contest begins August 11, 2009 and ends on January 4, 2010. Limit one entry per person per valid email address. Once submitted, entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be returned. For a copy of these Official Rules, ask a Sponsor Ambassador during any participating mall event, visit the customer service desk at a participating mall, or print them from www.TheFabricOfOurLives.com. - Eligibility: This Contest is only open to U.S. residents of the continental United States or the District of Columbia, excluding Rhode Island, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territories and Puerto Rico, who are 14 years of age or older at the time of entry. Eligible minors must obtain their parents’ or legal guardians’ consent before participating. Entrants need not be present to win. Employees of Cotton Incorporated, General Growth Properties, Davis Street Land Company, participating malls, Jack Morton Worldwide, and their respective affiliates, officers, distributors, agencies, and prize suppliers, and their immediate family members and persons residing in the same household of such employees are not eligible to enter or win.
- Judging and Judging Criteria: A panel of judges appointed by Sponsor will review all eligible entries and will select the top 5 videos which submissions have the highest point total based on the following criteria: vocal ability (40%); originality (20%); personality (20%); and delivery (20%). In the event of a tie, the winning entry will be the entry among the tied entries which scored the highest in the delivery category. Each entrant whose entry was selected as one of the final top-five entries will be notified that he or she is the potential winner of a First Prize. If any First Prize prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or if potential top-five entrant does not respond to notification within two (2) days of the date of notification, prize will be forfeited and the entry with the next highest score will become an alternate top-five entrant.
- Grand Prize Voting. Sponsor will post the videos of the top-five entrants online at www.TheFabricOfOurLives.com. Consumers will vote for their favorite video entry online. The video entry receiving the most votes will be the Grand Prize winner. If Grand Prize prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or if potential Grand Prize winner does not respond to notification within two (2) days of the date of notification, prize will be forfeited and the entry with the next highest number of votes will become an alternate Grand Prize winner. Odds of winning the Grand Prize are 1:5. When finally known, the Grand Prize winner will be announced online at www.TheFabricOfOurLives.com.
- Prizes: Sponsor will award one (1) Grand Prize and five (5) First prizes. First Prize is one cotton prize pack (items selected by Sponsor in its discretion from among, t-shirt, denim notebook, denim tote bag, and other cotton goods); one (1) Cotton Branded 1GB Apple iPod® shuffle mp3 player; three (3) compact discs (CDs) from each of Cotton’s Artists; one (1) 8GB Flip UltraHD™ Camcorder (Approximate Retail Value: $333). Grand Prize Package consists of: (1) A one thousand dollar ($1,000) cotton shopping spree at Macy’s Herald Square in New York with a Cotton Stylist, (2) Round trip airfare for two persons from major airport near Grand Prize winner’s residence (airport determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) (3) 3 nights’ single room (double occupancy) hotel accommodations for two persons (one room plus applicable taxes on hotel) ; (4) Ground transportation from New York airport to hotel and return trip from hotel to New York airport; (5) A $200 cash allowance for two persons; and (6) A gift basket. (ESTIMATED RETAIL VALUE $3,800). Airports, hotel accommodations, and cotton shopping spree details determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Grand Prize winner must book trip through, and cooperate with the reasonable requirements of, Sponsor’s designated travel agency. Travel / accommodations subject to availability, holiday blackouts, restrictions and changes. Arrangements must be made at least thirty (30) days prior to departure. Once scheduled, the itinerary cannot be altered. Except where prohibited by law, potential winner will be required to complete, sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Ownership/Liability Release and Publicity Release (the “Affidavit”) within fourteen (14) days of notification in order to receive the prize. (Tennessee residents need not consent to, or sign any, publicity release). Travel companion of the Grand Prize winner will be required to sign and return a release of liability/publicity at least ten (10) days prior to booking travel, and prior to issuance of travel documents, or will not be permitted to accompany Grand Prize winner on trip. If any travel companion is a minor, Grand Prize winner must be his/her parent/legal guardian, and parent/legal guardian must execute all releases in connection with accompanying Grand Prize winner. Once travel companion is determined, travel companion may not be changed without the express consent of Sponsor, which consent may be withheld. In the event of noncompliance with these requirements, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected. Grand Prize winner and guest must travel on the same itinerary, are responsible for providing all required identification and travel documents and complying with all applicable security requirements. All ground transportation, other than transportation designated, meals, gratuities, rental car fees and other expenses not specified herein are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize winner. All travel must be completed by August 31, 2010. Some restrictions apply. Purchase will not increase your chances of winning.
- General: All taxes or expenses, including without limitation, sales tax, luxury tax and any other costs incurred in claiming or using the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. No prize substitutions or cash equivalent of prize is permitted except at Sponsor’s sole discretion, and then only for a prize of equal or greater value. Prize is non-transferable. Actual value may vary based on airfare fluctuations, time of departure and distance between departure and destination. The difference between the approximate retail value and the actual value will not be awarded. Potential winner will be notified by phone, mail or e-mail. By entering, entrants give their express permission to be contacted by Sponsor by phone, mail or e-mail. If any prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or if winner does not respond to notification within two (2) days of the date of notification, prize will be forfeited and the entry with the next highest score will become an alternate winner. In the event of noncompliance with these requirements, the prize will be forfeited and the entry with the next highest score will become an alternate winner. Unclaimed prizes may not be awarded. Prize will be delivered to winner’s residence listed on the entry form. Apple Inc. is the registered owner of the iPod shuffle® trademark and Apple Inc. does not endorse or have any involvement with this Contest. Pure Digital Technologies, Inc. is the registered owner of the Flip UltraHD™ trademark and Pure Digital Technologies, Inc. does not endorse or have any involvement with this Contest. Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the judges, which are final and binding in all respects. Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of the prize constitutes and signifies winner’s consent that Sponsor and/or its agents may use winner’s entry, name, address (city and state only), prize information, and/or likeness for promotional purposes in any media now existing or hereinafter devised, without additional compensation. Subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Sponsor is not responsible for lost entries. Sponsor reserves the right to: i) disqualify from this or any Contest it sponsors, now or in the future, any person it finds, in its sole discretion, has intentionally violated these Official Rules, tampered with the entry process, or any other aspect of this Contest; and ii) cancel or suspend the Contest in its entirety should tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or other causes beyond Sponsor’s control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper play of the Contest. In such event, Sponsor shall award the prize to the contestant with the highest score of all eligible entries received prior to the date of cancellation or suspension. This Contest will be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of North Carolina, without application of any conflicts or choice of law rules. Disputes between a winner and Sponsor related to this Contest shall be submitted to final, binding arbitration heard by a single arbitrator in accordance with the then-current rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall be conducted in English, in Wake County, North Carolina.
- Releases. By participating, contestant releases Sponsor, Cotton Incorporated, Jack Morton Worldwide, General Growth Properties, each participating mall, and their respective immediate family members, affiliates, subsidiaries and agencies and their directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability for any injury, death, loss, tax liability or damage of any kind arising from contestant’s participation in this Contest, or resulting from contestant’s acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize.
- WARNING. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER PERSON TO DELIBERATELY UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS; AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, COTTON RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ AND EXPERTS’ FEES) FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT OR OTHER PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING SEEKING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
