Cotton Towel Elephant
A home décor idea that is easy-to-do & unforgettable
All you need for the Cotton Elephant Towel is two towels, two hands and 90 seconds.
Directions:
STEP 1
Start with two cotton bath towels.
STEP 2
Roll one towel completely out.
STEP 3
Begin making a tight roll starting at one end and heading towards the midway point.
STEP 4
Then repeat from the bottom, heading up to the midway point.
STEP 5
You should have a towel "scroll" that looks something like this.
STEP 6
Grip one end with each hand and bend the scroll backwards evenly. These are the "legs" of the elephant.
STEP 7
For the head, take the second towel and hold a center edge with your teeth. Grip the hanging ends about ¾ of the way down and begin making a tight roll towards the center of your chest.
STEP 8
Keep rolling until the two sides meet. You will want to keep the rolls tight as you head towards the center. This will be the “head” of the elephant. The two rolls are the trunk and the loose ends are the ears.
STEP 9
Lay the rolled towel down and peel back the excess on the backside of the "ears." This will help keep the two triangular rolls that form the ears in place.
STEP 10
Place the head on the legs so that the "ears" drape attractively behind the "legs." If your trunk folds were tight enough, the trunk should be easily bent upwards---a symbol of good fortune!
