Keeping These Tips In Mind Can Make or Break Your Interview
This summer, graduates all across the country are spell-checking their resumes and thinking of strengths and weaknesses in preparing for the next step: the job interview. It is important to remember, though, that a successful interview begins with a successful look.
When dressing for an interview during the warm summer months, it is imperative that you stay cool, calm, and collected. This can be especially difficult when the temperature and humidity are soaring.
“New graduates should remember a few key tips for dressing appropriately and successfully for an interview in the summertime,” says Jenna Caccavo, Product Trend Analyst, Cotton Incorporated. “A cotton suit is a great alternative to heavier fabrics; it is breathable and durable while still appropriate for formal interviews. Cotton cardigans, on the other hand, can add a touch of femininity when business casual is more appropriate, but will still keep you cool and covered in the heat,” Caccavo adds.
The perfect job calls for the perfect interview outfit. When dressing for your next interview, keeping these tips in mind can make the difference between a job offer and a job rejection.
